Today was boat closing day. One of the saddest days of the year around here. This year was even more depressing, as we didn’t get to take her out even once. With so much going on, we just never managed to get up there.

While Jim did the work – emptying the water system, putting the winter window covers, packing up the untouched food and swimsuits, I walked Miss Lola around the marina to the beach. It’s a nice walk and other than having to watch where you step because the geese aren’t housebroken. I sat on a muskoka chair and looked out at the water. Beautiful.

We went in and signed the paperwork to winterize and lift out the boat. And there you have it. Next season will be better!!
